TO Design, LLC, New Britain, Connecticut - July 1995 to present

Partner and Principal Civil Engineer for a multi-disciplined design firm. Mr. Smith's background includes site layout and site civil design for a wide variety of projects. His experience covers design of new and renovated water supply piping, gravity and pumped sanitary sewers, and stormwater management systems. His hydrologic and hydraulic designs employ up-to-date computer modeling techniques.

Kane Group, Inc., Ayer, Massachusetts (a subsidiary of LaMountain Brothers, Inc., Oxford, MA) - April 1993 to June 1995

As Construction Engineer and General Manager, designed and managed the construction of underground and above ground petroleum fueling systems.

Shell Oil Company, Rocky Hill, Connecticut - August 1990 to March 1993

As District Engineer, responsible for construction activities and maintenance of a retail gasoline service station district of over 150 stations. Ensured regulatory compliance and managed the design, permitting, bidding, and inspection of service station convenience stores, canopies, and fueling systems.

Shell Offshore, Incorporated, New Orleans, Louisiana - April 1988 to July 1990

As Reservoir Engineer, worked as part of a multi-disciplines engineering team to determine best production strategies and well locations for numerous oil and gas fields.

Shell Oil Company, Houston, Texas - June 1985 to March 1988

As Natural Gas Analyst, tracked and developed computer models to assess the future performance of natural gas supply contracts in a newly deregulated environment.
